Jordan
- https://www.jett.com.jo/en/schedule: Jett Company Bus in Jordan has comfortable buses which are a little bit more expensive than the minibuses. It also plies the tourist destinations like Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum however these routes cost 2 – 3 times more than the minibuses. The tourist buses depart in the early morning and return home in the evening so that day trips from Amman and Aqaba are possible.
- https://ammanbus.csdevhub.com/#/routes: local traffic Amman and an App for downloading. Rechargable cards are only available at some bus stations. There are also two fast BRT buslines 98, 99 and 100 (extra lane for the bus) which stop at Jordan Museum, Sports City Circle and North Bus Station.
- https://sariyahexpress.com/airport-express/: Airport City Express für 3,3 JOD = 4 € to Amman north bus station.
- https://www.abmaritime.com.jo/?lang=en: daily Egypt ferry from Nuweiba (3 hours) und 3 x weekly from Taba / border Israel (1 hour) to Aqaba / Jordan which bypasses Israel. You should be there 3 hours before departure and the ferry often has delays of 2 hours (but it can depart earlier too) therefore please schedule a lot of waiting time. The ferry teminal from Aqaba (for Nuwaiba ferry) is 10 km away from the city center (each taxi 5 JOD = 6 €). The ferry fares are quite high (see table below) but the route via Israel / Eilat is not much cheaper either because Israel charges an exit fee at the border to Aqaba / Taba of 109 ILS = 30 €. If you furthermore plan to travel to countries like e. g. Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan, etc. then you will risk an entry ban due to the Israelian pass stamp (on the basis of the Egypt exit stamp in Taba they can derive that you have been to Israel).
- https://visitaqaba.com.jo/EN/List/Visa: Visa free when you enter and leave Jordan via Aqaba (airport Aqaba, harbour Aqaba and land border crossing Aqaba). If you leave the country e. g. at Amman airport then you risk to pay the visa fee.
- https://eservices.moi.gov.jo/MOI_EVISA/faces/Pages/Runnables/login.jsf: Jordan single-entry visa for three months costs 40 JOD = 50 € for the most countries. Double entry visa for three months costs 60 JOD = 75 €. It is available as online E-Visa or visa-on-arrival or most land border crossings (except King Hussien border to Israel) and airports.
- https://www.jordanpass.jo/Contents/Prices.aspx: Jordan Pass contains the single entry Jordan visa and free of charge entry to Petra and other attractions. Jordan Pass for 1 day Petra = 70 JOD (2 days Petra = 75 JOD / 3 days Petra = 80 JOD). One day in Petra costs 50 JOD and the visa 40 JOD = 90 JOD therefore you save at least 20 JOD = 25 € (except you enter and leave the country via Aqaba / visa free). It must be acquired before the trip (can’t be bought on arrival).

(1) Departure from Amman / Aqaba in the morning and returning home in the evening so that day trips are possible. If you want to travel on a budget string then please take the minibuses which cost max the half price.
(2) Departure in the morning to the Dead Seat to a beach of your choice and pick-up again in the evening. Minibuses mostly don’t go directly to the Dead Sea but only to Al Rama. You have to take a taxi for the remaining route therefore Jett Bus is not the worst option.
(3) Tourists often have to pay more therfore you have to haggle hard. The minibuses mostly depart in the morning until midday after they are full. In the afternoon there are less to no connections anymore.
