Azerbaijan

  • https://evisa.gov.az/de/E-Visa Azerbaijan is valid for 30 days and costs 29 USD. There are also other websites who offer the visa but they are NOT from the government and charge an extra service fee and are more expensive. If you have a passport stamp from republic of Nagorno-Karabakh or the government learns from other sources that you have been there then you are banned from entry to Azerbaijan.  
  • https://ticket.ady.az/enRailway Azerbaijan. Night train / couchette to Seki / Balakan (border Georgia).
  • bus station Baku is next to the metro station Avtovaghzal
  • https://metro.gov.az/enBaku Metro. Rechargeable metro card (valid for bus and metro) can be purchased at many metro stations at an ATM. One trip costs 0,60 AZN / 0,30 €. The airport bus costs 1,30 AZN / 0,65 € and terminates at the main train station (also a metro station).  
  • https://wander-lush.org/baku-to-gobustan-mud-volcanoes/: Gobustan / mud volcano day trip. Bus 125 until the terminal station Karvansaray Shopping Centre for 0,40 ANZ / 0,20 €, then change to bus 195 to Gobustan for 1,30 AZN / 0,65 €. Then rent a taxi for some hours around 20 AZN / 10 Euro (they try to charge 50 AZN or more) because Gobustan and the mud volcano are a little bit remotely.
