  • https://demdikk.sn/reseau-interurbain/: Dem Dikk bus company in Senegal with air condition. Tickets are often sold out days in advance because there is only one trip / day for each route. One bus also goes to Gambia / Banjul. Tickets can be reserved online however a Senegalese Sim card / phone number is required. 
  • Shared taxis or minibuses (for the more frequented routes) cost around the same price (plus 1.000 CFA / 1,50 € for each big bag) but are much less comfortable.  
  • https://www.portdakar.sn/en/nos-services/trafic-passager/dakar-ziguinchor/en: 4 x week night ferry from Dakar to Ziguinchor with stopover in Carabane (connection to Cap Skirring) in 16 hours between 15.000 – 30.000 CFA / 23 € – 46 €

(2) minibus Dakar – Rosso, walk / drive 2 km to the border, embark the car ferry (free of charge) over the river to the Mauritania border, then to Nouakchott for 300 MRU / 7 €. Other border crossing is at Diama near St. Louis which might not be passable during rain season due to bad road condition.

  • https://moovitapp.com/index/en/public_transit-Dakar-5996: Moovit App for Dakar bus traffic for downloading. In this App all bus connections of Dakar are available. There are big dark yellow buses from Iveco (less frequently), small white minibuses (more frequentely) and small coloured minibuses. One trip costs between 100 – 250 CFA / 0,15 € - 0,40 €. Especially during rush hours the bus trip takes for ages because the bus is stuck in traffic jam.  
  • https://www.terdakar.sn/ticket-voyage-aller-simple-de-quoi-s-agit-il/: Metro in Dakar from Gare Ferroviaire to Diamniadio (soon the route will be prolonged until the airport of Dakar). Each trip costs between 500 – 1500 CFA / 0,75 € - 2,25 € depending upon the distance.  
  • https://senegalndiaye.com/en/bus-dakar-aibd/: Airport Bus Dakar. Air Condition Bus 6.000 CFA / 9 € hourly or Non Air condition Bus for 1.000 CFA / 1,50 €.  
  • https://www.sunubrt.sn/en/: Bus with air condition. There is an extra bus lane therefore it is much faster than the other buses especially during the rush hour. La Grande Mosquée de Dakar - Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor – Guédiawaye. Each trip costs at least 500 CFA / 0,75 €.  
  • Big bus station Dakar: Gare des Baux Maraîchers (also train station of the metro Dakar TER). Dem Dikk Buses are departing from Terminus Liberté V.
